In a world where our brains can barely keep up with the constant flow of information, attention is one of the skills most easily lost. It may seem that once it’s gone, there’s nothing you can do about it. But even such an elusive skill can be trained.
The “Attention” workshop is based on exercises inspired by Michael Chekhov, warm-ups used by improvisers and circus performers, and exercises from the Meisner technique.
We’ll work with impulses, improve reaction speed, learn to change the rules of the game, and get plenty of endorphins from tackling challenging tasks.
For actors — to shake things up, get back to the basics, and improve your work with a scene partner.
And for anyone who wants to learn how to manage wandering thoughts.
During the workshop, you’ll find yourself in situations where everything seems designed to distract you. We’ll learn to stay focused, respond quickly and fully to whatever happens around us, and stay present in the moment. You’ll discover that multitasking isn’t actually that difficult.
Then send your application for the workshop by email info@everyday-theatre.com.
I can adapt any workshop to suit you and your needs. A workshop can have artistic goals or become part of a strategy session, corporate event, or training seminar.
